I know it's very short notice but, does anyone want to
go for a ride Wednesday 8/7 ( Telegragh Canyon to Otay Lakes, up 94 a.k.a. Campo and down Lyons Valley)? We can meet at Mobil Gas station on Telegragh at 10:00AM. For those who don't know ( I learned the hard way:mad: ) There are 2 Mobil Gas stations. Go to the Eastlake one that is located in a shopping plaza, not the one right off of I-805. It's approximately 3-4 miles up Telegragh Canyon Rd on your right. Hope to see all of you there.:D
I'm down for that...
I used to always ride that route until I started riding Palomar.
i might be able to go. it depends on if i finish all my work tomorrow. hey paul can you post one of those great maps. im not familar with the area.

I just got a job...and even if I was working it would be nights and only 3 days a week.
Which means=plenty of time to ride!

Sucks I can't go but hopefully we can plan one on a weekend...

Yes!
But what day? I'll be going to 6 Flags with my roommate one of these days this weekend for her birthday.
Why don't you start a new thread to save me the trouble of splitting up this thread?

I haven't even been to Palomar yet. I pretty sure i'm ready. It's just that i've heard alot of Horror Stories about that place (more bad than good) Although the good sound awesome. Anyway... I'm ready to tear it up. :D
I'll see you guys at 10am tomorrow!

Yeah I just started riding there a few weeks ago. I went there with Burst(Gregg) and his neighbor. It's not that bad, but take it easy for your first time. Those damn decreasing radius turns can get you.
Before that, I also heard all those horror stories and how "tough" it is. But it is a really fun road and you get to explore the limitations of your bike. Until I rode Palomar I never braked so deep into a corner, or scraped peg.

We can go there afterwards, depending how you feel after Otay Lakes. There are no other bikes, and not many cars to worry about on weekdays, which makes it a bit more fun.

How long does it take to get to Palomar??? It all depends on how late it gets cuz it's my wifes B-Day and she's wanting to hang out when she get's home around 4:30. I am all about going though.:D

It's gonna take awhile. It's like 40 miles to the exit off the freeway. Then it's like 20 miles to the actual mountain. This is from my place, which is just off the 54. I think we'll be able to make it back in time. It's not that good to stay there that late anyway. The shadows start to mess with your vision.
Fun ride guys! Going to Palomar every other day... I'm spoiled :hog:
I'm spoiled too!:D Fun ride guys! Clint, hopefully your wife doesn't beat your :ass: for being a little late getting home:confused: :D
