From who to who? From you directly emailing other people? From other members directly emailing you? I for sure have never gotten a virus from "this list". It's pretty difficult for the site's auto-mailer to send anything more than a thread notification, pm notification, or email with just plain text. And I don't think anything that's downloadable here have viruses.
Could you post a copy of the email containing the virus, with full headers? Might be someone forging the sender email address to appear as if it's coming from this site.

This is the notice I got from my company.
BTW, I update my antivirus software regulary.
This occured last week, I did receive many of them but never got infected. Once the attachment is opened it gets into your mail list (Outlook. netscape) and goes from there. the sender never even knows it was sent.
Mesage reads:
A new virus called Win32.SoBig.E is now rapidly traveling across the internet, and has found its way onto some of our desktops therefore into our mail systems.
The e-mail comes with a bunch of different subject lines most commonly:
Re: Application
Re: movies
And has an attachment called: your_details.zip - inside this zip file is a file called: details.pif
Please only delete this e-mail, do not open it. Once this infects a computer, it reads the mailing list and sends copies of itself to everyone so chances are you will receive this e-mail from someone you know (although they will not know that they sent it to you).

I got to go through a few computers at work the other day to kill that one off. Norton Antivirus makes it too easy. ;)
I don't think there's a way this board could be transmitting anything, and if it were, a lot more people would be compiling :)

This means that it would go to anyone in your address book. Its not something that would spread through this board. What makes you think socalsvriders is affected?
Who sent the message? Without that, you're not giving us any useful information. (And with most viruses, that's not useful anyway... spoofing source addresses is pretty popular these days)
Damn worms! The only ones that I like are the ones that come in tequila bottles.
Anyway, like what linp said, we can probably eliminate the board as the culprit since only text notifications are sent out. If you've corresponded with a fellow board member who has you in his/her address list and is infected with a virus, then you'll be one of the unlucky recipients.
