My question was a joke. My ex and I have worked out a system on how to deal with these things ... he's 5 and he's allowed to swear ... we've never had problems with him swearing at inappropriate times ... he uses it when he's pissed at something or gets hurt ...

I think hiding things hurts children far more than not ... of course, I believe in sharing things with children and guiding them into understanding things ... in my home, until I the place I've been staying recently, cable tv was not available to my son ... just movies we've deemed appropriate (this ranging from cartoons to jurassic park to education movies ...).

We don't make a big deal about things, so he tends not to either.
