Anybody want to inspect my new bike?

Hey guys,

Just bought my first motorcyle, a 99SVX. It's in pretty good shape, but I'm a :squid: and could really use some advice on what need/need not to be fixed/drained/replaced/tightened.

I've been wrenching on cars forever, so I'm very technically inclined, but this whole motorcycle thing is new to me.

If anybody wouldn't mind looking her over for me, I'd really appreciate it. I'm in downtown LA, but I'll take any excuse to ride out and meet somebody.

Take it to Bursts' (Gregg) house this Sunday. Look at the "wrench fest" thread.

A bunch of people will be there doing stuff to their bike. I'm sure they'll be glad to help you out.

I saw, but I'm not ready for a trip that far away yet, especially since I don't know if anything is wrong with the bike.

Did 40 miles last night though... what a fricken blast.

Come on over to the wrenchfest man! It is only 60 miles from Huntington Beach. There are some people over that way riding out here. You could meet up with them, that way you won't have to make the trek alone....
