View Full Version : Newbie forum area?
What about a forum for "New Riders" so that noobies can get their questions asked there without bothering the other fellas?
A "New Members" area so that the new guys can see who are the cool guys that say HI to new members. LOL, I'm on page 88 with about 12 posts per page. Thats about 1056 posts to read before you get to mine!
Just a suggestion.
Other than that, this site is my favorite so far. Good job with it.
You can sort the members list by the date which people have joined the site. It shows the newest members first.
Welcome to the board. Did you just buy that bike? I saw it up at Palomar a while back, were you the one I met up there?

Yeah I saw that bike at Palomar too. I've talked to your buddy at Cycle Gear about that bike. It's, uh, one of a kind.
Almost every possible motorcycle question has been asked and answered on this board. If you take the time to use the Search engine you can probably find your answer w/o having to even ask. :D

Hey guys, I bought this bike in August, been riding since August, so I'm not the guy you met. I haven't done a thing to this bike, it was all done when I bought it. You really recognize this thing? Is Palomar a Track?
Nice to be here. I've been riding for 6 weeks now, I think I'm ready for a track, as a begginer class rider.
I think Roland was the original guy's name. There was a sticker on the windsheild that said Roland... :D Gone now.

Elvis,
I recommend a track school rather than an open track day at this point. You will learn so much your head will be spinning... But if you wanted to do it, we've got a track day in December that you can get into...
First you need enough gear though... Full 1-piece suit or zip-together 2-piece, preferably leather, but aerostitch/kevlar is usually allowed. Good boots and gloves too.

Anyone have any good info for a new rider?? Any suggestions or reccomendations, other than the MSF course, that I may be able to use??

Late response to your original post but we have a woman rider here who is pretty new - today she is taking Pridmore's Class up at the Streets of Willow. http://www.classrides.com/ Supposed to be a really great school environment to really LEARN riding. We'll be hearing from her when she gets back to work on Monday.
