Anyone here use a Gnutella client?

If so, what's a good one to use to get out from behind a firewall? I've tried Shareaza and it doesn't seem to be able to access the network, and doesn't give me an option for proxy settings...

Dont use Gnotella. Its been know for its viruses. I use KaZaA. Its pretty good and free. Download the "lite" version if you can. It is a smaller version, takes up less space, and works just as good. I have the full version at home and there arent any features that I miss with the "lite" version here at work. I use it everyday to download utilities and MP3's.

Man, you guys have cool bosses that'll let you download music at work! I've heard of people who got canned for doing less non-work related stuff on company machines/network.

Got any job openings?

Linp,

It is my job. I look for and download music everyday. Then cut it up and put it on our servers. Sorry no openings as of yet.

We actually got a letter from the MPAA a few weeks ago at work because someone was downloading movies. Apparently the MPAA and RIAA have set up honeypots out there and then track who downloads their bogus files. They probably won't go after an individual, but a company they will.

That said, I'm not preaching, just saying be careful. I have about 20G of mp3s myself, though most are my ex-roomie and my cd collections ripped.
