Ride, Labor Day weekend

Hey is anyone going riding this weekend? Christ, it's a 3 day weekend and there's been nothing said. Have you all forgot?

I'll be up on Angeles Crest on Saturday with a friend.
Then Sunday I'll be at Palomar with my old man. If you see me there come up and say hi so I know someone else actually rides besides me. ;)

Hey kurt, I may be able to sneak away to Palomar on Sunday for a few... Since I do have Monday off. YAY! Maybe I'll see you there.

Yeah I was wondering what was up too.
I can't ride Sunday but am planning on Saturday and Monday.
I was hoping to join an SV ride either day. Anyone planning to ride Sat or Mon?

That's cool you get to ride w/ your dad KTB.
Mine is in Minnesota and well let's face it there are not many if any ministers riding bikes. When he came to visit we took a couple pics on the Hayabusa though - that was fun.

At least the CHP won't have their spotter planes for a while. Should make it a little more difficult for them. :D

Something like 51 of the 53 planes the CHP has, had bad crankshafts in them. So they all got shipped back to the east coast to get fixed....

I sure as hell hope they take their sweet time fixing those planes. I don't care about them flying over Ortega since I don't care to ride that hwy much, but it will take the fun out of Palomar when they start flying over it. :hog:

They had already started with the air patrols over Palomar before the planes got sent away. I only saw them out there twice but they were writing tickets for crossing the double yellow....

damn cops... my brother is a cop, a motorcycle cop, who rides, and he still gets a thrill out of chasing catching and ticketing bikes. he sleeps better at night or something...

i would like to go on monday. i think that would be a better day for me.. i'll confirm....

hehe both of my brothers are cops.... one works for the OC Sheriff's Dept the other works for SDPD.

I think I will be riding Palomar on Monday as well. Sunday will be a day of recovery for me. Will be partying late Saturday celebrating the wife's bday.

The time is still undecided between my buddie and myself for Angeles Crest. He's kind of a lazy ass and doesn't like getting up early. I'm hoping to get him to my house by 9 Saturday morning, which would put us at that Shell gas station on the map by 10. If anyone wants to go, suggest a time, and we'll try to meet it.

As for Sunday, my dad and I will be leaving north OC by 8, so we'd be down at Palomar by 9:30ish. I'll be there all morning going up and down the front side. I'll leave when I crash, run out of tires (which may make me crash) or get tired.

Need to putt down to Corona later in the day so I don't think I'll be floggin it too long.

Still not sure what day I'll ride Palomar. Have to take it one day at a time.
