Guys sums it up prettey much at the end.
Maybe its the wide angel lens, but seems like he's crawling.
I've seen that video before, and I like the way it's resting on the roof, and then some supports just collapse, and he drops like 3 inches.
My friend did something similar to a 2002 WRX just recently, at about 40mph, maybe less (not on a race track). Ran wide in a turn, and one side ran up an embankment, the other hooked in a rut, and just flipped the car over.

the amount of damage done is pretty astonishing..
Speaking of going wide:

BTW, anyone hear anything good or bad about those helmet cams?
That is why you shouldn't have 4-5 point restraints without a roll cage.

Did you see that second guy lock the shit out of his rear tire there? Another reason for not touching the rear in the twisties until you're a good enough rider to control it... Had he just leaned a little and gotten on the gas, he probably would have cleared the guy anyway...
I'm still trying to figure out what happened to the guy up front though... It's not like there was a lot of lean angle going on... Probably looks like what I did when I fell...

Yeah that was a pretty week curve. I bet it was site fixation that screwed that guy up. I probably staired at the embankment, which is why he hit it.
I just stepped through it, and both guys botched it.
The first guy looks like he locked up the front wheel and it slid, his countersteering of the now non-steering wheel twisted it to the right until it caught something in the ditch, throwing him off with the wheel at right lock. As you said, the second guy was way too hard on the rear break as soon as he saw the first get into trouble. He really didn't need any break, just a little swerve. It looks like his intended line would have avoided the crash either way. He couldn't have known that, but a swerve and then straighten to break would have served him better either way.
Thanks for putting this up! It was a very instructive clip.
Later,
Tim.

Bummer! I really think the second guy could have avoided his wreck! Didn't seem like they were going extremely fast.
