No word whether our beloved SV is in there(it better having over 200 bikes) but looks pretty cool.

Definitely looks like the motorcycle version of GT... Right down to the way they handle crashing (i.e., they don't)...

Our bike is in there. Well at least I've seen the SVS. I already preordered it. Should be a sweet game.

I think if you're a computer gamer, I'd check out WSB... http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mcbeware/easbk2001.html
Looks like it handles crashes and everything too... If I ever get a PS2 I might pick up Riding Spirits, but I'd probably get MotoGP 2 first...

Ah, ducati controller (http://www.motorcycle.com/mo/mcbeware/controller.html) ... think it counter-steers? Doesn't look like it from the photo...

SBK2001 is pretty good, though I think its just too hard to control, You really need a good gamepad to play it. I picked up riding spirits yesterday, it is basiclly a half assed GT1 with a very sharp learning curve. Motorcycle riders will probably like some of the realism but GT fans will not. Took me a few races to realize you can not brake in a turn. You can and will fall, even drop your bike but there is no damage and you get right back on. I wanted to see something like Road rash where you had to go chase your bike. I'd say wait till the game drops to $20 before buying it.

That's my biggest problem with MC racing games... Especially in arcades... There was one where moving the bars actually caused lean (so you could even have your feet on the pegs)... You'd think riding a motorcycle, I would have been good at this. Nope... No countersteering, so I kept finding myself turning the wrong way... I don't think the girl watching me at the time was impressed...

My friends were at gameworks in vegas and got challenged by two kids for a game of ... something, I dunno. Anyway, my friends are thinking "we're totally gonna show these kids who's boss" but end up slamming their bikes into walls the entire first game, until they adjusted to not countersteering. Second game through, they kicked the kid's asses.
On leaving, they agreed that neither would touch a motorcycle for at least a week.

Here's the most REAL part of the game:
"Drop serious dollars in the shop, adding better wheels, tighter suspension and bigger engines to your bike, taking it from stock ride to tricked-out racing machine."
Now if only I had "serious dollars" in real life
My favorite MC game was ROAD RASH :D
Seemed like crashing was the whole point of that game... well making other people crash...
I went ahead and bought Riding Spirits today in spite of the blah reviews. Now I just need to find some time to play it...

I've been playing it for a few days and its not bad, once you get used to the controls. I found the game a lot easier if you leave it the settings on Arcade mode(Only fall if you hit something really fast) rather than Sim(Will drop your bike on the slighest error) I got up to the 400cc class and there was our SVS(correct color/Year) with a 400 motor. Do they get a 400cc version accross the pond?
Japan has some weird laws as far as motorcycle licenses go....
under 400cc is one class over 400cc is another. Apparently not only is it expensive but it is very difficult to get an over 400cc endorsement.
So yes is the answer to your question. They do make a SV400.
Poked around the Japanese Suzuki site and found this:

I think someone posted the SV400S photos as a possible 2003 model a while back... *shrug*
Also, spotted this while flipping through the manual:

I saw it at the mall the other day for $49.95... Times are tuff, so I want to make sure I don't waste my money...maybe i should rent it first...$49.95 is like two lap dances and Snapple!!!
