Movie: Cowboy Bebop anime

Dont like it at all.

My folks got me the movie for my birthday, but I dont really care for Japanese animation, hence, not really caring for the movie.

The intro is really nice, but thats about it, I couldn't even sit through the whole thing.

If you DO like Animae, you might like it more, as my little bro thinks it's the bomb, but I dont.

Why did your parents get you an anime for your birthday when you don't even like that genre? LOL! Did you they get you mixed up with your brother because they love him more?

you should watch the series. its a lot better than the movie. the movie was made for die hard fans who were pissed that the series ended. so its not really that enjoyable if you dont like the series.

the show is funny as hell. and all the cool action sequences and silly situations that the characters get in are just the top layer of a really cool story about a guy whos only reason for living is revenge and a woman who doesnt know why she tries to keep on living because she doesnt remember who she is.

i wont ramble on any further cause if you give a crap you will watch the series. and if you dont you wont read this anyways. :p

Yup, I loved the series (had spike as my avatar for a while), but I could kinda care less about the movie...

ya, the movie was the last milking of the cash cow. it was a thrown together flashback that had no real meaning of relevance to the over all story of cowboy bebop.

if you havnet guessed yet, i really like anime. this is a screen shot of what my anime folder on my computer looks like. and that doesnt count the stuff i have on vhs and dvd.

ya, some of those are a LOT better than others. i just cant bring myself to delete files i dont use any more. i have turned into a packrat ever sense my hard drive died on me about a year ago and i had to start over.

good or not, thats 44.6 gigs of anime.

wow, i suddenly feel a lot less grown up. thats a lot of cartoons :p

i have no idea. i know its old though, you can tell by the style.

and "otaku" is not a title i strive to obtain. im not obsessed with japanesse culture like most people who call themselves otaku are. i just really like anime because of the stories and interesting images. you cant do what they do in anime in a live action movie. even with cg, you know those are real people and what they are doing is fake. like the matrix, or even torque for that matter.

anime frees you from that mindset and you can just believe that the characters can do what they are doing. because you know its not real from the get-go its make stories a lot more enjoyable.

the entire cowboy bebop series (As well as movie) can be rented thru netflix...

they also hv gundam, robotech, ranma, project a-ko (yummay! anime boobies!) and other not-so-hardcore anime stuff.
