Is there any one out there?

Hey, my name is Jameel, and I wanted to ask the entire club if there are any fellow SV/SVS riders in my area. I live in Lancaster, and have seen two other SV riders, but I'm not sure if they are members....yet. In any case, it kinda sucks out here not having any other SUZUKI riders to ride around with....just Honda big boys, old Kawees, and the infectious Harley crowd. (The bikes aren't *all* that bad, it's just their riders' attitudes)

Anyway, to make a long story short....it would have been peachy to ride down to the Gathering with some other people, but instead I putted down there by my lonesome. On another note, on occassion I go down to Carney's on Sunset on Wednesday nights, and if anyone is interested in going there or in the general area, just hit me up via email, or (what you're much more likely to do) post a reply here.

Oh yeah, before I forget...thanks for hosting us Gregg...it was nice meeting you. And Mike, lemme know when and where you're hosting another fork party. Since I came a day late and a dollar short for all the club's most recent mod events, I'm going to be sure not to miss another.

In any case, I'll be around.

Hey nice meeting you too Jameel...nice bike also BTW. Can you tell me again what kind of turn signals you have and where you got them???

I'll see about hosting a fork party sometime later in October...in the meantime go check out www.race-tech.com . Use the "spring rate search feature to find out exactly what you need...

I already went to RaceTech's site. According to them, what I should get a 20wt oil @ 130mm level, 25mm of preload, a spring rate of somewhere in the neighborhood of 0.761 kg/mm, and a static sag of 32mm. Some of these make sense, others don't.

Well, whenever you are hosting your next fork party, be sure to invite! I'll definitely be looking forward to it.

Oh, the turn signals...almost forgot. They are made by Motrax, and can be had for $14.99 a pair @ Cycle Gear. They come in amber or clear lenses. The Lock Phil. versions come in other designs, but they cost more and aren't necessarily worth it unless you like the way they look or are looking for a particular lens color. The Motrax's work fine. However, you'll probably want to pick up a pair of LP's side marker connectors - they go right into the OEM wiring harnesses, and make replacing the lil suckers a *snap*. lol Anyway, I gotta drive back to work, so keep in touch.

I'm always up for a ride. Sunday mornings usually work best for me..( This upcoming one is out :( ) but the Rock Store always works for me, or Bouquet Cyn., or Lake Hughes, or San Francisquito, or Sierra Highway, or whatever. I'm a slow rider, but then if you're way ahead you can just wait for me. :D

Cheers, Doug

P.S. Didn't you see the post for the Gathering from the Santa Clarita Valley? Sorry we missed you....
