Good, Bad, and Ugly dealerships

I was curious as to everybody's opinion about motorcycle dealerships. Do you have anything good to say about the dealership or store where you buy your bike stuff. How about bad experiences. I have had excellant dealings with Tag Motorsports in Santa Ana, but I will never go to Southland Cycle in Garden Grove. Anybody?

I haven't had any terrible experiences with anyone that I can think of. I bought my SVS from Southland Cycle in Garden Grove and I go there anytime I need OEM parts. Since they only deal in Suzuki they keep a good stock of just about everything you'll need for your SV.

I will say that they seem to work at their own pace and they don't come off as super friendly, but they've always been able to help me when I've been replacing something. They're a hell of a lot better than Hahm Motorsports in Anaheim!

Got mine at Del Amo Motorsports in Redondo Beach...could've saved about $100 on the purchase by going to LA Cyclesports, but I wanted to support the local shop. Everyone was very very kissing my ass nice as I was buying the bike. But afterwards, it's like "who are you?" Promises of fat discounts on parts and accessories were forgotten, so I just said screw it and buy most of my stuff over the 'net now. Service isn't cheap either ($230 for my 600 mile!), so I'm wrenching on the bike myself now...the service guys do seem to know what they're doing though and they are nice to deal with...

I almost bought mine at Hahm. I know a salesguy and the assistant parts manager there. I waited for the sales guy for almost 2 hours. I decided to look around at some other dealerships with the intention of returning. When I went to Tag Motorsports I made a deal on my bike in less than 20 minutes for substantially less than Hahm's price. Here is the reason I will not shop at Southland Suzuki. My brother and I went in to buy the 140 mains for my SV. The parts counter idiot asked what bike they were for and why I wanted them. I told him that I have an '02 with a full Micron exhaust and I was going to jet it as soon as I got home. He stsrted yelling at me telling me that I needed to go 10 sizes larger on the main jet. He ran to the back of the service department screaming and laughing about how I was going to put 140 mains in my SV. The shop guys pretty much ignored him. I asked him how much for each jet, they were about $5 a piece if I recall. I looked at my brother and shrugged my shoulders and was going to get them anyway. This fucking dick keeps harassing me about the jet size so I told him to keep the jets and I walked out. I have done all the work on everything I own and I know what I am doing. Carb tuning is pretty easy, and this guy didn't know jack shit. So I will not buy a fucking thing at that dealership EVER. One of my buddies wanted a GSXR 1000 and was going to buy it there. Now he is going somewhere else. Thanks.

WOW! That would turn me off to a dealer right away!

I went to Hahm to order some jets for my SV and they gave me the wrong ones (threads were wrong) and charged me like $10 per jet!! This was the first time I did the rejetting so I didn't know any better. Then I had to special order some other jets and after 2 weeks I told them to cancel my order. 2 Weeks for jets? Come on!! Though the parts girl is kinda hot there so I still go in to look at her. :)

I think I may be to blame for a lot of this stuff though. With the exception of Rod and his sister fetish I think I've been the instigator on most cases.
